TTA Three-Peaks Challenge

THEY DID IT! Click here to see a video of their amazing experience!

All three mountains Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) & Snowdon (1,085m) climbed within 30 hours to mark 30 years of TTA & over £5000 raised for Shine Cancer Support!

The challenge was brutal, but hugely rewarding. There were highs and there were lows - breathtaking scenery, horrific rain, ice cold summits, beautiful sunshine, slippery terrain in pitch darkness, never ending steps, burning thighs, winding mini bus routes, constant outfit changes - but the laughter and determination of the team got them to the end...

You can still donate directly to Shine via our ‘Just Giving’ Page.

Challenge Completed:

The team were lucky enough to be sponsored by the new Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia, who provided them with complimentary bedrooms, spa access, refreshments and even a celebration cake upon completion of their challenge – the perfect place to relax and put their feet up after all that walking!

The group enjoyed a fantastic meal in Zephyr’s Bar & Grill, the onsite hotel restaurant followed by a show round of the meeting space. Offering four self-contained meeting rooms, overlooking the surfing lagoon and Adventure Parc Snowdonia, it’s the ideal location for more active incentive and team building groups as well as smaller weddings and conferences.

Big thanks to the team at Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia for looking after our team so well!

Our willing volunteers took on this challenge in aid of Shine Cancer Support which is the only UK charity that supports adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have experienced a cancer diagnosis. The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on Shine and its community. Fundraising has dramatically declined, but at the same time demand for Shine's special tailored services has been increasing.

We understand that this year has been one of the toughest ever, for everyone, but Shine still need our support, now more than ever in fact, to help them complete their valuable work. Even though our three-peaks challenge has been completed for this year, there is still time to sponsor us, please click here to be taken to our ‘Just Giving’ page.

About Shine Cancer Support

Shine’s vision is that every young adult can access the help and support they need in a way that suits their lifestyle and that they are a part of a confident, supportive and empowered community of young adults living with cancer.

The charity’s mission is to provide tailored information and peer support to their community and Shine now has 19 local Shine Networks across the UK. They also run some annual events which have had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. TTA has partnered with Shine since 2016 to manage its annual flagship conference Shine Connect. We were delighted we could still deliver this as a virtual event in 2020 to support Shine’s community at such a difficult time.
